PS: Want to know how I embedded two links in this post when the Vox Compose page lacks a Links button in the Insert an Item/Asset bar? (If you have a better and shorter method, please let us know in the comments.)
- Save the first link (BlogBackupOnline in this case) to your library via the VoxThis! bookmarklet by clicking on the "Just add Link" button on the VoxThis! page. (Don't click on "Write a Post" on the VoxThis! page so as to prevent a public post from being published before you can edit it, otherwise someone might read your post before you're done.)
- On the following page (generated after adding the link to your library,
and advising you that the link has been successfully added to your
library) click on the "Write a Post" text link. Leave the Compose page open in your browser to edit later.
- In a new browser tab or window, save the second link (Ross' Vox entry in this example) by clicking on the "Just add Link" button on the VoxThis! page.
- On the following page (just as before) click on the "Write a Post" text link.
- Select all the contents in the textarea box on the Compose page by either hitting CTRL+A (or CMD+A) or right-clicking and choosing "Select All" from the context menu.
- Copy the selected contents by either hitting CTRL+C (or CMD+C) or right-clicking and choosing "Copy" from the context menu.
- Do not save the second post. To do this, click on a link in the Vox Navigation Strip to navigate away from your current page. A dialog box will pop up asking for confirmation that you wish to discard your post. Click "OK."
- Return to the Compose post page for your first link so that you may edit it.
- Position your cursor so that it is either above or below your first link item (be careful not to have the first link item selected/highlighted, and not have the cursor resting within the text of the first link item).
- Paste your copied contents to the first post by either hitting CTRL+V (or CMD+V) or right-clicking and choosing "Paste" from the context menu.
- Done!

So you know - if you do "Just add link" for the first vox this and then choose to write a post, you can get an entry that has your vox-this box but hasn't already had it posted to your blog...therefore you won't get people reading your post before you're ready to publish it with any additional information you wanted to add. Should avoid the scenario you had here with ed'sperience's original comment possibly before you finished updating the post.
You're right. The first VoxThis! should also be entered by just adding the link as opposed to creating the post. Thanks for the tip! (I'm going to edit this post to reflect your suggestion.)
When I added the first link as a post I had no intentions of modifying the post or writing anything further. A couple minutes later I thought I should augment it further with a link to your blog entry. That's when I thought of combining the two links into one post.
I've re-read your article. Most helpful, and public-spirited. I've also started the 'blogBackUp' on a couple of my voxBlogs.
Ross inseminated, you disseminated. Thanks to the both of you.
